Harvesting Yellow Dock Root

Yellow dock is thought to benefit the digestive tract, liver and skin and has been known to treat inflamed nasal passages. One of its primary uses by herbalists is for skin conditions associated with poor digestion, poor liver function or “toxicity”. Yellow dock may also be useful in assisting with:

  • Poor digestion
  • Skin conditions
  • Mild constipation
  • Liver detox

Yellow dock is prepared for medicinal use as a syrup, a tincture, or an ointment/balm. We make tincture with it and use it in our Empress Roots liver support tincture.

Nettle Season is here

Those prickly stinging leaves may appear dangerous, but actually Nettle tea is known to be one of the most beneficial spring time remedies for seasonal allergies. Nettles have been used for hundreds of years to treat painful muscles and joints, eczema, arthritis, gout, and anemia. Today it can be used to treat urinary problems, hay fever, or in compresses or creams to treat joint pain, sprains and strains, tendinitis and insect bites.
